crazy things to do with your cell; does it really work?
Well got one of those crazy fowards like everyone gets to try out, I'm not sure if any or all of these works. The one with car remote blows my mind if it does, because that basically would solve so many on-star related calls hahahaha

god why? it KEEPS COMING BACK!
locked car is a total lie. the battery thing came about because of a certain nokia phone which could report different battery life based on voltage rather than something else. I dont remember. anyway you get no additional power. Then finally the IMEI number is technically true, however no US or Canadian carrier actually DOES this and it can be easily circumvented (I've changed IMEI numbers on my phone for unlocking purposes)
I think Verizon MAYYYYYYBEEEEE does something like this, but I seriously doubt it. If you have GSM though and your phone is stolen, you are up a river without a paddle.

that hidden battery power is a network mode switch for full rate and half rate mode. I've tested it back in days when I had older Nokia phone.

Depending on the wireless signal a car requires to unlock/lock the doors, i could only see if it was an audioable noise.....

mousey thats a good phone. I've passed that sucker to every one of my family members now. Its a good gateway phone cause it works really well and gets good reception (After the firmware patch of course...)
Since then I buy nothing but Sony Ericsson. I've tried other brands and bleeh....
Anyway yea these things they talk about are hoaxes yo.

It won't work on Swedish crap! (Sorry Mike but it's a fact )
Only for older generation Nokia phones like 3310 can handle that. Now days Nokia has removed that feature.

thats the thing though. it never really was a feature. it switched codecs, but honestly that wouldnt really give you a reserve of battery power.
plus now the codec rate is forced by the network, so you have no choice anyway.
and btw while I have no love for my swedish neighbors(and by that i mean the country), the finland based company(nokia) has done nothing to impress for quite some time. Other than paper launches.

^ Nokia tend to launch feature rich phones with unbelievebably high price tags anyway, i like the sony ericsson stuff since it's cheaper than most other brands and the battery life is normally better plus the phone is often more durable if dropped
i've tropped my T610 a few times and it works fine every time, just have to turn it back on sometimes when i give the battery a good rattling

how that cracked me up. mostly lies, but with our smart phones at work we report the serial, and once the phone is turned on it self destructs. not literally but software wise, it is unusable even if it gets turned back in to us.
