Grindhouse; see it while you still can.
Grindhouse to be split for US audiences
Quote:
After its disastrous opening weekend, many have begun the manic speculation as to why "Grindhouse" failed to click with US audiences.
"We could split the movies in a couple of weeks. Make Tarantino's a full-length film, and Rodriguez's too. We'll be adding those 'two missing reels' that's talked about in the movie" says Weinstein.
Whilst non-English speaking territories have already been set for the dual-film release, there's now also talk that the planned single releases for the UK and Australia will be turned into dual-release films as well.
|
Saw it last night and thought it was great. The concept is half of the fun, with all the fake trailers and missing scenes make it more like an event than just a couple of silly flicks.
Also, Rose McGowan is incredibly hot in both movies and you'd miss out seeing her twice in one night

Unfortunately the Grindhouse distributor here in CZ decided to split the movie too. They say that people are not used to sit and watch so long movie, or some bs like that. But we all know the truth - they only want us to pay for it twice...

Yeap, and neither movie is good enough to see on their own. They were meant to be together (even some of the actors are in both and play the same roles).

If you still say she's not a babe after seeing this cover then I must question your eyesight.

rose mcgowan looked smoking in the movie, with the first scene where she's dancing on the pole. Amazing ass. The movies were overal pretty jokes, Planet Terror is basically a more crazy version of Resident Evil. Deathproof is slow in the middle, but the car chase is one the best ever filmed.
Rosario Dawson is nasty to me, that photo on the mag cover was HEAVILY airbrushed around her face.

That car chase was great, mostly because of the real life stuntwoman actress that did all those stunts. CGI can't compete with that real stunts

Heh I agree, watch Tokyo Drift then watch Initial D straight after that to see this theory in practice. Stunt driving outshines CGI everytime.
