not a huge baseball fan...at least not watching it but thats pretty awesome.
I have to say Sky is a pretty awesome service you got there...most of the HD versions of shows hit Sky before they hit the US (like Battlestar Galactica for starters...)

In my about 10 years in the UK, not a single person (british) knew anything else than it existed somewhere in the country (basketball league). Not one person could give me any helpful answer except that football (soccer) and rugby are way superior. I wish more people would try basketball in the UK.

And real football
I respect American Football, Hockey, Boxing, Kickboxing, Mixed Martial arts fighting, Pride Fighting, and even UFC more than most other sports.
They are the only ones where your not overly protected by rules and encouraged to actually hit the other person.
Soccer (World Football) is a joke to me, I used to love it but most of the time its not even about the goals. Its about how well you can act like you've been hurt.
As for Basketball, I like it more than soccer because a lot more contact is allowed though even then they still look babied from time to time. The only time I usually watch basketball is the last 2 minutes of the game because thats the only real important part and damn does it get crazy.
Edit: Just wondering, does anyone remember the XFL?
O yea Arena Football is the shit. Those athletes are unmatched by those in most other sports. They often have to play 5 completely different positions and there is no running out of bounds.

Opening week of march madness is the best time in sports, so many games that go on at once and the producers do a good job of switching among them. Basketball is the only sport where I prefer college to pro in terms of viewing, just seems more interesting.

Basketball, Baseball, and Track and Field were my sports in my younger days. I hold records in T&F that still stand to this day at the middle school I attended in the early 60's.
Our sophomore basketball team won the county conference and we had the overall shortest team in the league. Fast break, and ran the other team ragged was how we did it.
I just wish Atlanta (Hawks) had a decent basketball team for once. It's hard to get excited about the sport when your home town team stinks up the works year after year.
