Ok so here's how it goes..(advice please)
Just got off the IM with someone in France, trying to explain a situation I am confronted with..but here goes..
1. english girl, rather attractive and half my age, wants to see club bands from Ireland. 2. she wants to travel, or rather find some good bands to listen to within the area. (Suffolk Country). 3. she is a two time loser, and I am three time loser in the marriage game so we just want to have fun. 4. ex-girlfriend and co-worker from the United States was just hired by my company to take the juniior position here with me for six months. 5. I signed up for the Orange broadband network, which I can use in France, according to the sales rep, so I can stay in touch with the english girl while I am in France or nearby, while I am traveling with my co-worker. 6. Still burning a candle for my co-worker, nice bum and everything else...this should be the win win, we had a fling last year. 7. I can fly on Ryan air very cheaply to and from the EU during the weekends and even on holiday, my company encourages it. this is the interesting part....... I think I can pull this off, and avoid conflicts because both of them dont want attachments anyway... I mean...its a dream for a guy my age, and when you look like Drew Carey and cheap to boot, you got to go for the gold... I mean....if you were all in my shoes, wouldnt you jump at the chance to try? BTW....I am not drinking either...but honestly...this english girl has my head spun all around.... does any of this really sound that confusing? please be merciful...but apply the appropriate filters...

The english girl I met on a guided tour of Ipswich, she was married to an American once or perhaps twice before, not sure, but no kids and only 30 years old...My co-worker and I are actually fast friends, and we knew each other when our fathers were stationed in Germany back in the 70s, she was kind of a nerd that blossemed and I was well kinda...well anyway.
The whole situation is intoxicating, I feel like I am drunk again, the English girl makes me feel so alive and really gives me a charge just being around her, but my colleague is so cool and awesome. Either way she will be here soon, and this English girl wants to see me more than twice a week. Shit...what have I done? How do I get so much play you ask...I really dont, I am fortunate to get anything at all, just afraid of permanent relationships. I get to know girls and if they are compatible with my lifestyle, we have fun and enjoy life. Life to me is like a bottle of wine...I want to stay drunk with it..I am living on borrowed time anyway and one day I will die alone and rest forever in a Paupers grave, I have no ellusions at all about that, so I live now for time marches on. If I died tomorrow I would have no regrets. My brother is in Germany and accused me of another mid life crisis...well better that than a mid wife crisis anyday. While I am still free, still randy and still eager to explore, I want to see what is left to see within my finite existence.. My raceis not fully run yet! Rather dramatic I know...but what would you all do? BTW...going to trade my Lorry sized car for a Vespa too!!

yeah...but I have already had several...I think this is more like an oppurtunity...and of course, I am assuming that my co-worker wants to rekindle the embers again....I might be jumping the gun, but the thought of it is quite a thrill...

I had the chance to be with more than one (more that 2 actually) and I took it.. just to see what it was like. It's not that great, well the exact same time is great.. but that's another story. Just pick one, and quit being so shallow..

I was referring to a once in a lifetime oppurtunity, nothing more really I suppose I am making some assumptions because of a previous relationship and the promise of fun to come with a nice lady I just met..but it just seems unless you want to build a nest somewhere, it seems that dating both of them seems like more fun, and I am not about to settle down here in the UK...it is lightyears behind the USA in so many respects..I would really have to throttle back to enjoy it.

As long as you are honest with both of them & no one gets to thinking there is any type of commitment then the only possible drawback is the whole work angle. That's always risky, but if the co-worker is mature and you have had a previous relationship then you might be ok. Just make sure she isn't in able to leverage anything so as to take your job!! I've only done the two women at once thing once & it was a nightmare. I was a very bad boy and was basically running around on one girlfriend with another firend's fiance. Yes, I know I'm on a bus bound for hell; Some days I believe I'm driving. But in my defense, I didn't want to break up with the girlfriend because she lived with me and she was in her last 5 months of undergrad. I didn't want her dumped on the street just as she was about to finish school. I also loved the GF quite a bit but we were not going to be good for each other long term. We were both going in very different directions in life. That was a very ugly break up let me tell you... I had more wishy washy moments than I care to think about. As for the friend's fiance I had actually introduced the two of them and had had an interest in her before they ever met (he knew that but I know that was no excuse). They were also so very much not right for each other. It would have ended in the both of them being miserable, or divorce (which is the same thing more or less). She and I also were very much the right people for each other - as we are now happily married with a new home & thinking about a kid next summer. I still feel bad for the way things went down, but it ended up right. |

actually I said that and then this weekend was...interesting...
lol actually it was awesome. this one girl use to be way into me and has insisted shes over it (cause she was pretty creepy almost stalkerish for awhile) and the other girl has no interest in me really other than a friend...but LOVES to piss other girls off. So she got REALLY cuddly with me at a party. And then this other girl started getting cuddly with me...and they kept trying to one-up eachother to establish who the alpha female was. it was AWESOME. I realize i only have a chance with one of them but it was still fun. and i actually am not interested in either. but DAMN was it a nice ego boost...even if they were just fighting for the alpha title...it still involved the two of them being all over me.
