In car computer

Long time no speak. I've become a distant and lame DH member, for that im sorry. I've been busy with so many things, once i can get a router so i can be online upstairs i'm sure i'll be online more.

That aside i do have a few things i want to do before i buy a router. Somethings im thinking about is to install a computer and screen into my car. Just wondered if you had any advice, hints or experience on this.

Basic idea is to have the computer somewhere like in the boot under a cover with vents and fans for cooling, though something im worried about is whilst driving, vibrations or bumps damaging the PC. I'd also need a small screen to put into the dash of my car, which would obviously be easiest if it was touch screen. Can you get touch screen small monitors that connect with VGA?

I'd use the computer for my music on the harddrive but i guess it'd be an idea to have some sort of DVD \ CD drive to play from is there any way i could connect a PC to my headunit or would it have to be like a PC CD/DVD Drive?

As you can tell i haven't really researched much yet, just collecting ideas and designs.

i know of somebody who did this to their car. let me find you the link, and it'll have LOADS of information of as to how he did the install

EDIT:

this is the one i wanted to show you. click on "the car" on the left side, then click on "carputer" after that on the right side. The forum link is rx8club.com (go figure ), and the first post has the hardware specs he used for the comp. not to shabby for being what it is.

here is the secod one. not as detailed as the first, but just to give you more ideas.

i know that both cars are RX-8s, but you can use some of those ideas into your own car.
