Do You Have An Ipod??
just curiosity on my part, how many of you have ipods??
I wouldn't have, not into white, but they had to go and release a drop dead gorgeous pink one
I just couldn't resist.
so what about it?
(and I don't know about anybody else, but I love the click wheel thingy, it's awesome )

iTunes is a slow as hell program. Transferring is such a pain, and sometimes everything gets deleted from your iPod because if your list is set to autoupdate, and there's nothing in the list, nothing will be on your iPod. It's expensive, overrated, way too common.
And when you get to the bottom of a list, it doesn't go back to the top.. if it's a long list you gotta scroll all the way up again (just a little gripe i have
And as you said, they're too.. blah looking
Edit: Oh yea, and another gripe I have is the fact that there isn't a removable battery

I bought a g5 ipod, managed to break the screen within 6 months... apple will not replace it (oh... well thats not true, they just want 249$ for the replacment...) ;[
Now it is a really expensive and kind of weird looking 30gb portable hard drive!...

I recently considered getting an iPod, but realized I would hardly use it. So I got a Sirius Satellite radio instead

i do have one... reason being I won an iPod at the autoshow here in toronto this year. got me a 2gb nano, i hate it because its such a fashion statement. its just a easy to operate and cool looking mp3 player (or now a media player). im sick and tired of seeing the white headphones everywhere.
build quality is crappy, the battery problem will always be there and i hate iTunes. im addicted to it though, reason being i have a bunch of music to listen to always and easy to access.

well personally I don't have any problem with iTunes, although that's probably because it works exactly like my old Rio software so I'm already used to it.
as for build quality, my old Mini is more beat up than a middleweight boxer, and it works flawlessly
Battery I gotta give you, they're crap unfortunately.
and headphone wise, I'll stick to my sennheiser's thanks, I don't need a "mug me" sign hanging off each ear

I don't have any portable audio player. If I was looking for one, I'd be getting either a Samsung or iAudio player.

No thanks.. overrated and overpriced, I think I'll pass. Personally.. I just don't like the sound quality of .mp3's. They suck compared to CD.

Just rip at higher quality.. And honestly, with headphones, unless you have the first MP3 players out there on the market, you can't tell the difference.

The LCD remote that i took from my old H140 before i sent it back owns
So what if the player's old and chunky - I don't need any better

blah iPod
Just could never get myself to like them. They're overpriced and are everywhere! I do own a Creative Zen Micro (5GB). Just liked the fact that I could drag and drop my music right to it without using software, or now I could use Winamp. And the fact that I could store whatever files I want onto it. Then again I rarely use it, my wife does all the time. So, I have my iPaq with a 1GB card.

I think they are quite useful (a friend of mine has one), but I wouldn't buy one since I've never listened to music using headphones, not even while on the bus. When I'm travelling or going somewhere on the bus (or just waiting somewhere for that matter) I use that time to think, specially about the book I'm writting; that or, like I told Dyre Straits once, I like to "think"about music, listening to music in my head. I always do that.
The only time I listen to music is on my home theater system. And sometimes while I'm on the PC, but NEVER using headphones. Headphones suck.

cos it's so gosh-darn cute!!!
that's it, the only reason i own one.
It's cute
(and I still think it works well, even if you don't like itunes)
edit: @ asmoday; I would use my phone too, but aside from the fact that nobody sells them with standard 3.5mm jacks, there seems to be a big compromise between functionality (mem available) , and physical size of the phone. I'm not a woman, I don't carry a handbag, I don't want a giant phone
and I don't want to shell out any more mony on headphones having already bought expensive sennheisers sonys and technics (none of which work in a phone without the aid of some god-damn stupid fat dongle or something )
