Official 2006 World Cup Discussion Thread
Decided to start this thread for the football lovers to discuss the games as they're played.
So far I've enjoyed the 1st half of Germany v Costa Rica. It's 2 - 1 so far. That was a really nice shot by Lahm in the 6th min and excellent counter by Wanchope. Germany has been showing some nice ball control, but Costa Rica needs to tighten up their mid and defense, plus assist Wanchope when he has the ball imo

True about your comments for Costa Rica but anyways, they have no chance versus Germany... I mean, the skill level is leagues apart!

You never know, Sandok. There have been many surprises in the games leading up to the Cup. I'm sure we're in store for many more.

Congrats Germany on the victory: 4 - 2! That 2nd goal by Wanchope was offside I'll admit; thank God the referee didn't see it But that rocket by Frings in the 87th; 40 yrds!

Fring's goal at the end !!
goalkeepers may be complaining about these new balls, but I'm sure the viewing public won't be

Going to give my congrats to Germany on the 4-2 win over Costa Rica. All though in my opinion it fell down to the forwards who won the game. Also had many deffensive errors which needs some improvement. But at the end they have 3 points & +2 goals advantge in there table.
So far poland V Ecuador is a reasonable 0-0 draw after 17 min of play.

Tomorrow will hopefully be good day, first England vs Paraguay with beer and snacks, then BBQ and some more beer. And to top the evening off my beloved Sweden against T&T.
