HELP! Can't find a copy of...
....Sun's JDK 1.1.4 for windows. It ain't ANYWHERE on Sun's server, and after a 40 minute Google session I'm still coming up empty handed.
Anyone have it or know where to find it? I need that exact version. (It's not for me, it's for a friend so I have no clue as to WHY they need that version. )
Many thanks in advance,
Dig

Thanks.
Thank you Zardon. Like I said, I came up dry too. This ain't gonna be an easy one, but if it was easy I'd have never have heard about it.
I gotta go run some errands with my daughter so I pointed my friend at this
(and other ) threads I've started on this. He just wrote me with the following:
[quote]As for the reason that this version is needed (don't quote me on the specifics--I'm only relating what I understood from my non-techie point of view as the situation was explained to me by a programmer who's first language is a form of Chinese), it's because I'm trying to facilitate/coordinate the creation/execution of a new website for our company.
Said website is a temporary replacement for our current (read as "horribly obsolete and extremely ugly") site. New and temp sites are being administered using JasmineII portal technology from CA. Above mentioned programmer needs to get a functioning applet menu running for the site and wants to use JDK 1.1.4. Seems this is the only version of the compiler (correct term?) that can write script that is usable on both Netscape and IE AND is familiar to my programmer.
Don't have the time to explore other development options at this time (may do so in the future). We need to have the site up and running by the end of next week and my programmer is way overworked.[quote]
(Then some personal blah-blah junk that I'm sure no one would really be interested in.)
I have no idea what he's talking about, but I figured you web programming types might get a clue from it.
Thanks again, it is very much appreciated. (Now send me that art! )

I've got a copy...
DW,
This post is overkill- I already emailed you and posted in reply on RageUnderground - I found a copy of 1.1.4 on my old CodeWarrior disks. I have it with me and can email if you wish, but be warned- it's almost 9Mbytes...

That would work...
...for me, Zardon. I'm at work now, so I'm somewhat limited in what I can do. I wanted to post it on my machine at home that I use as an FTP server but, alas, that machine is dead right now...

Thanks again Greebo, I replied over at RU to you that I e-mailed you. Whatever is easier for you on the transfer is cool by me.

Yeah, cross posts are a pain...
Zardon,
Thanks for the offer of help, but it turns out we didn't need it; he was fine with my sending it via email...
