Hahaha! My step-dad was such a car hockey he traded and traded so much and so fast I'm not sure which one was actually my 'first car'. Everytime he and I would pick one and bring it home, he would turn around and make a deal for it with someone else.
The ones I remember we went through....but maybe not in this order:
'50-ish Studebaker - pink and black (not my choice! and I can't remember the exact year model)
Two others that came and went so fast I really can't remember what they were other than one was a small 4-cylinder.
The one I FINALLY got to drive when I turned 16 and got my license:
'53 Chevrolet 2-door sedan.
After a couple of years driving that, I ended up with an Opal Kadet Stationwagon.
That was traded in, after graduating from high school, for a '66 Chevy II. This is the one I drove off to college.
BTW, dj: Nice RIDE!! How soon to get your license now?

dj: Nice! I clicked thinking you'd be looking for recommendations, and you already got pretty much exactly what I would have recommended.
I really got two different vehicles when I was first driving.
Here's the car I drove to/from snowboarding all winter, with 3 friends and 4 snowboards/pairs of skis strapped to the roof. I'm trying to sell it.
And here's the truck I'm driving now.
