New Job
Well, I signed my life away to the Army yesterday.
My job title is 96B or Intelligence Analyst
I leave for basic august 1st
The job I signed for is not only very hard to get as far as testing goes (requires more than any other job) but it is very hard to get into as about only 1-2 spots open up for it every year for the Army.
I will have a 9 week basic and an 19 week AIT or training for my job title.
So I'll be on here till then guys. Beta testing, being annoying, stomping on all your dreams...
But wish me luck, I'll be in for 4 years and after my AIT will be rewarded with a top secret clearance.

Just remember in basic, when the drill sargent is yelling he isn't yelling at you but he is yelling so everyone else can hear him. That helped me when I was going through basic.

usually happens once or twice in every recruit grouping.
Then there was the guy who tried to escape.....he got duct taped to a wall for a day. Then, there was the guy who couldnt do pull-ups, so the DI's duct taped his hand to the pull up bars....ow

Great news about the job title. Congratulations...
Listen carefully, do your very best - and then some more, be moldable - yet keep your unique self. You'll do well.
May the Lord bless you and your efforts for our country.

damn that must have been alot of duct tape, not to mention one hell of a site to see. probably fun as hell to tape the guy upto the wall too, although not so much so for the guy in question.

duct tape is the DI's best friend.............and our worst enemy. It was hella funny.especially when they got a squirt gun and proceed to hydrate him, of course totally missing his mouth.good times, hard times, guess you call that life lol

Indeed, welcome to the brotherhood. You're life will never be the same. And for most of us who have served, it has been a good thing. OO-RAH!
