TV DVI 1080i and 720p connector resolutions?

Wasn't too sure where to stick this thread so I posted in here.
I've Googled this but couldn't find a straight answer.
I've got a TV with a DVI input connector that supports 1080i. What resolution should I set it at when it's plugged in?

And what's the difference between 720i and 720p?

Found my answers:

One of the resolution specs used in the HDTV. 1080i stands for resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and the magic little 'i' means that the video is being interlaced. Other common HDTV resolutions are 720i and 720p.

With Interlaced every other frame it shows a black line, instead of the picture. Personally i find 720p superior to 1080i. If your TV can support 1080p then you are in heaven.

No, it doesn't support 1080p since it's a pretty cheap model but it does have 720p however.
Hmm, I wonder how World of WarCraft would play on a 52" TV..

It really doesn't start to matter about 1080i/p until you get to the much larger sets. Even then it's kind of hard to tell /w true HD.
