515 and 518 look identical, 517 is OCed
515 is probably the same as the 18 with a minor packaging revision or soemthing?

Well I never did figure out the difference between the 515 and the 518 other than the price. I read reviews on newegg for, well all of them..., but on the 515 some people seemed to think that the 518 has a copper heatsink... which isn't the case. They must have been mistaken for the 517 so idk.
The 515 isn't on evga's website so I wonder if it is their base model that they mainly supply to system builders? Although I'm not sure why they would have a retail version of it...
It's all a bit confusing to me.
I ordered the 517. it seemed like the best bet. It's on the evga website, has higher clocks and a copper heatsink wich is better than alu. I hope I made the right decision. Does anyone else have this card?
Let me know.

515 may very well be retailer specific/OEM model, yes
HP does that too. Best Buy machines have SLIGHTLY different mdoel numbers from Circuit City machines sometimes, even thought the product is identical

I just really wondered because there was a $30-40 difference in price. and 330 sounded a whole lot better than 370. But for the extra speeds and copper heatsink I think the 17 is prob the way to go.

Yeah I got the evga 7800GT CO which is oc'd to 470 and 1150 I think. I can't remember, but it should be here hopefully tomorrow. It was only 375 shipped, and I get call of duty 2 free, and a rebate so all in all I think this is the way to go.
