Gigabyte GV-3D1 dual 6600GT's

My GV-3D1 is reporting a core clock frequency of 299.3MHz in 3DMark03/05 and Gigabyte's overclock utility called V-Tuner.

The actual specification is a 500MHz core clock frequency. I am puzzled as to why the card is being reported in three separate programs as having an underclocked 299.3MHz???

I most definately have not underclocked it by accident.

I have tried uninstalling V-Tuner and uninstalling all NVIDIA drivers and performing a clean driver install after using Driver Cleaner, but the card still reports the underclocked 299.3MHz.

What puzzles me the most is that after a reboot, 3DMark03 and 3DMark05 will in fact report the stock 500.1MHz core clock, BUT here's the catch....after using the computer for a while and coming back to check the core clock in 3DMark03/05, I find that it reports the underclocked value of 299.3 again! This is without V-Tuner installed and no other overclock utility installed.

If anyone has this card, can you please check repeatedly to see if you notice the card underclocking itself? Thanks.
