Well I strongly suggest you become quickly UNstressed as your conduct in this thread has been less than pleasant and I dont enjoy getting reports of conduct on DH especially from members who insult others hardware purchases based on their own views.
Shike Driverheaven may well in your view a "gaming" forum overall but I think to just surmise that every member uses their machine for gaming is quite an assumption especially when I know quite a few (myself) included who dont.
Let me give you a few examples as you are being so aggressive and downright arrogant. There is no demean someone with a comment like "ignorant".
The Photoshop bench I developed to use entirely CPU processing power in a real world environment. how many do you think would use photoshop here? id say quite a few

FX55 around 60-65 seconds to complete the 40 megabyte file processing. ive ran this myself on my overclocked FX55 and I can just about break 60 seconds. On my Extreme edition at 3.7-3.8ghz I can complete this test in just over 40 seconds. thats a 20 second increase in processing time. Now that might not seem much but over the course of a week thats quite a few hours saved in processing time.
Encoding? ive used several test programs and granted the times now are closer than they used to be but id still give the edge to the EE processor.
One final note, I strongly suggest if you want to bitch about peoples hardware you DO take it to the flamezone because I DONT want to see anymore of these comments about people's "ignorance" on the driverheaven forums. Take that as a friendly warning.
Itchy5 also you have a conduct warning for your comments in this thread, you are also INCORRECT, there are EEs for slot 775, ive 3 of them. 1 is the older 800mhz version, 2 are the new 1066fsb version - just because they werent available on newegg doesnt mean some system builders didnt cut a deal with INTEL and get some to build systems around (which they did)....., I expect you to apologise to hawgshead in PM for your conduct in this thread. Extremely arrogant.
This thread is totally off topic now as we have moving from answering questions on pipelines to now debating how peoples hardware choices suck so im closing this thread, if the original thread starter has more questions to ask then please open a new thread. Im disgusted by the aggression in this thread and I wont be seeing it again from you guys otherwise you wont have the option to post on this site.
