bought a 5200 card think it's dead...

pluged it in the system didn't work, reenabled and tryied system the onboard video to see what going on tired diffrent agp seting didn't work, tried useing nvflash to detect the avilable adaptors... none detected

tried it with a second system didn't work

I think it's dead... and am missing anything

Was it a non-name "J&J" (the only semblance of a name) model?

There seem to be a lot of dud ones like that at my local (UK) computer fair - got my money back ok.

It may be that a factory or distributor closed, and some piles of untested stock are being sold off - I DID get a GF4 MX440 AGP 8x and that was ok - (£10, anything on this table!), but of THREE 5200's myself and a friend got, none worked!
