Is nvchk.exe still necessary?
Does it still have to be run after updating the bios with something like Nibitor 1.7, before the modified bios is flashed?

I used nibitor to modify a backup of my original bios and it seemed to work just fine without nvchk. I think you only need to use nvchk with hexworkshop.

NiBiTor does that now automatic. It has as well integrity checking build in. ;-)
