I'm somewhat confused!
I've got a BFG Tech 6800 GT OC ( http://www.bfgtech.com/6800GTOC.html). I have the model with the 2 fans and all i see on the net are reviews on the model with 1 large fan. Can anyone tell me the difference or point to some reviews of my model. On there website it says, Custom BFG cooling solution with polished nickel finish and dual blue LED lights. I'm running it at 400/1100 and it runs really sweet. I played Far Cry for 2 hours and my card never got over 62c.
Thanks in advance,

Hum your sure they didn't give you the ultra? Gheck your card properties and see if it says GT or ultra.

did u take half a sec. to check the link i put up. I did not ask if it was a GT or ULTRA. I am sure it is a 6800 GT OC. but that would be nice if i was given an ultra instead of a GT. what do you think the chances are of ANYONE making a mistake like that?
oh, the ultra only come w/ 1 large fan from BFG Tech.

Don't have to be a about it!
Can't find any reviews but as I was shooping for mine I noticed if you get the GT on just about any model you can open up the 4 extra pipes (if it's not 16 already) and make it a ultra. Also you can make the GT'S run just as good if not better then the ultra's. Same card, same core, it's all a matter how good you are and far your willing to push it! One thing I have noticed is when I OC my XFX6800GT/256 just to see if I can make the temps go higher, they jump maybe 4 or 5 degrees. Mine is running 415/1188. With a normal op temp of 63 and an in game temp of 67 so I got a little more pushing to do. But I also got 5 case fans pushing and pulling fresh air in and out.

All GTs have 16 pipes enabled. It's just like the Ultra only at a lower clock speed and sans 1 power connector.
as far as I can tell, it's just the different heatsink. all other specs are the same.

you got a 6800GT and you don't know if it is 16 or 12 pipes!!! ROFLMFAO they are all 16!
I'm just trying to find out the difference between the 2 heatsink and fan setups.
Thanks MiDKnYtE but i want it in writing. A review between the 2 would be sweet, but probably wishful thinking.

The two fan hsf comes on the Rev.2 BFG GT's. I think they were having some issues with the single fan hsf and changed it. My bro has the single fan hsf on his and has had no issues, although the newer ones do run quite a bit cooler.

Y'know it really makes no sense why the changed their heatsinks, cause from the reviews ive read online from forums, it appears that the new heatsink is running hotter than the old one! BFG messed up a good thing when it moved from the original.

Might I add that all retail versions now of the BFG 6800GT OC have 2 Fan Single Slot Cooling. The ultra have almost the same heat sink just alittle bigger and I think the Fans are bigger too, also the whole thing takes up 2 PCI/AGP Slots instead of 1 like the GT.
The Reviewers are just getting earlier versions that didnt have the same Cooling that the retail versions are shipping with now. I and my friend have just brought 2 BFG 6800GT OC's and I have seen a few others.
Also mine runs fine the whole time at about 65c @ 400/1.1 (Ultra Spec Speeds) under load. This gets me about 12300 3Dmarks03 and a solid running computer. Very happy with BFG.

You would be suprised how many peps are running GT/256 anf only 12 pipes are running, mine was and it's a Manufacturer screw up but there out there. Alot more then you think. It's an easy fix, but there out there and some peps don't even know it.
