^^This is basically the same problem a friend of mine is having with his new computer...I say new, he's had it for 3-4 months now, but since the begining its always crashed in cs. Apparently its whenever he looks at a smoke grenade the computer just goes nuts and distorts the screen, repeats the sounds and in most cases reboots the computer.
According to a guy on that thread (sorry for making you look at those forums) its got something to do with a conflict between the graphics card and soundcard. A bios update will correct this.
Well, I've looked for a bios update, I haven't came close to finding one, and I'm a bit reluctant to resort to flashing as I can't be there when he does it.
I've had experience with flashing a graphics card and it didn't go to well. I don't think he's got a spare pci card neither incase things go wrong.
Has anyone heard anything related to this problem and is there another way around doing a graphics card bios flash???
Does anyone have links to where I might also aquire an updated bios for that card: PNY GeForce 6800 Ultra.
Thanks for reading and the help.
