I like NVidia and would like to stick with them but I'm in the market to buy the best video card out today. I'm using it for gaming mostly. Lets say money is no object (oh well) what is THE card????

I "personally" like *Gainward* and *Xtasy* ...they've been great cards for me, and seem to be very stable when overclocked as well.

I'd go for one of Gainward's special edition models. But you'd do just fine with a PNY

ASUS's new copper heatsink looks to be a real winner, and ASUS always makes top-notch hardware. If money was no object, I'd have to go with the ASUS GeForce 4 Ti 4600 Ultra Deluxe.

I've seen some of that stuff lying around at work, I might try it over the intakes on my case. Just wondering if it will restrict the volume of air.

Yeah really: look @ that heatsink > must be trying to hide generic memory modules! The cards running the 3.0ns Hynix & Samsung memory modules don't need a hs that big to achieve high oc's.
Must be a marketing gimmick for ohhs' & ahh's.3 way comparision with that card, Asus & Gainward: http://gotapex.com/reviews.php?rev=gf4-comp/index.html Look @ the included items w/the Gainward: & VIVO to boot! The Xfs Graphics & Albatron Ti 4200's have proven to be extreme oc'ers too > quality Samsung & Hynix RAM. ![]() HTH & don't be taken in by looks, check the specs & the included accessories. the memory on my leadtek 4600 is 2.8ns. and the heatsink keeps the ram cool at even 750mhz speeds, havent seen any other make to do that (as they normally use 2.9 or 3 and the cooling isnt as good), probably cause the heatsink is on both sides of the card, rear as well.

Well while you guys spend anywhere from $400 to $600 for the Ti4600 I will gladly settle for my $250 Ti4200 with the added touch from Thermaltake.

Zardon,
Thanks for the specs. ![]() Here are 6 Ti4600's that ran 750 or MORE on their 2.8ns RAM & 5 of them don't even have any heatsinks on the RAM. http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/...0_4600-15.html The MSI ran @ 335/770 w/o RAM heatsinks & only 1 GPU fan. ![]() Maybe that hs is holding you back. ![]() Enjoy, JAV GBA! |

The card that I have from Chaintech couldn't look or work any better. Check out the Heat sink on the memory not to mention the GPU, there's even heat sink on the back too, nothing better than to keep those BGA's nice and cool.
I use Gigabyte boards and haven't had any incompatible issuse with this Video card what so ever. I've heard some Leadtech cards seem to have problems with Gigabyte boards. Note...if you see some Video cards with what looks like hand soldered component run for dear life, sources tell me they are "works" of a butcher. Thanks chaintech and octools for the cool pics. ;-) ![]() ![]() ![]()

I am getting the MSI GF4 4600 along with a MSI kt3 Ultra2+. Like all the reviews I have read and no issues with the combo that I have heard about.
