GeForce FX5600 Cooling

Hello!

So I've had an FX5600 256mb for a few months now, and I like it. The only thing bugging me is the fan/heatsink combination on there. It's the AOpen version, and like most manufacturers they slap on a fairly wussy one when it ships. However, more annoying is that it has recently started vibrating loudly when I start the computer, and less loudly but still audibly all the time it's on.

Right, I thought. I'll do something about that. I tried the Vantec Iceberq range, but to no avail. The mounting holes are too wide for the ones on my AOpen, which are cunningly integrated into the base of the fan. I've looked around a few UK websites for alternatives, but I'm not sure now which ones would fit my card. There's a Zalman heatpipe alternative, but now it all seems to be a bit 'hit and miss'. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks ^^

PS - Preferably something I can get from inside the UK.

It was the right one =/

Thanks, but it was the right one. The words "nVidia" splashed on the back along with promises of fitting FX5600s made sure of that

Aha! I had that fan problem too... however mine was a Gainward model. Started to make this horrible grinding noise when starting from cold, very unpleasant. I replaced it with the newest version of the zalman heatpipe - tis a little fiddly to fit, but it's an excellent cooler. Bear in mind though that if you plan on overclocking the core can't seem to go beyond 360mhz without locking up, regardless of heat... then again maybe you'll have more luck if you try.
