FX5600, 52.16 & Medal of Honor

'Cos I'm a just a poor old slob (pause for tears) I only have a cheapo FX5600 vid card (more tears).

I like Medal of Honor Allied Assault, but have yet to find a driver that works properly with my FX card. I get parts of the maps that just turn to an opaque bunch of garbage, making play impossible with the 52.16 drivers (works fine, though slower of course, on my old MX440 though, so could be an FX thingy).

Anyone notice something similar?

By the way, the earlier driver I used (45.23) stuffed up the distant buildings etc...making them either disappear or suddenly pop up when you get close enough...again the MX440 card didn't do this.

Hope my card isn't even more of a dud than it already is (the makers skimped on the memory speed....bastards).

Don't buy a "Legend" brand card from China.

Any suggestions for the best driver? (win XP pro).

i had a similar problem with my 5600 on enemy territory (both use Q3 engine) with the 52.16s
what i did was use driver cleaner (aswell as your normal uninstall of old drivers)
and now they work fine...hope that helps bud

I experienced the abovementioned of buildings opaque etc..when I was gaming with my FX-5800 on FW52.16 but no problems if I revert to using 45.23.
