Diod coating cracked
I have a Gainward GeForce4 Ti4200 that is only 6 months old and have not run o/c. I removed the card to do a good cleaning after we did some remodeling, i noticed that the clear coating on 2 of the larger diods was cracked, the diod looked ok and the card seems to work fine. Is this the start of a big problem or is it nothing to get worked up over? i have also contacted Gainward to get their views.

Sorry everyone for my duh in electronic's I am not sure if they are diod's or transistors, they are 5 large silver, 3 long and 2 short in the upper right hand side of the board, 2 of them one short and one long have the coating cracked on the top.

A picture if worth a thousands words..
Find a picture of your card, and zoom in to where you see the problem. Most if not all boards are designed a little bit differently so it's had to imagine what your talking about.

I tried to do that but could not figure out how, you can copy and paste pictures a long as they were within size limits on my web board i visit regarding mods for my DSM. This would not work on this board
