3D Turbo Experience problem
Hi all.
Got new MSI VTDR128 FX5600 and installed with no probs. Comes with 3d Turbo Experience overclocking software which loads as a Macromedia flash page. But as soon as it is loaded I get a 'The web page you are viewing is tying to close this page' message - and no VGA details (clock speed/temperature etc), the page graphics and sound are playing fine on the page - just no card info.
Also, I get an MS error report come up if I try to activate any control on the page.
Tried reinstalling drivers from cd and MSI site - no change. Has anyone else encountered this problem? any suggestions/tips greatly appreciated.
P4 2.2ghz
fx5600 128mb (52.16)
256 ram

3d turbo experience
i have the same problem as well. i have a ti4800se. And ive downloaded the new 3d turbo experience and guess what. No info on fan speeds or clock speeds. My friend also has the same problem. I think its because the 3d turbo experience just doesn't work. They have spent to much time giving us lots of software with a new card but most don't even work.

reason is because the 3d turbo version is not compatible with your driver version, MSI always releases their drivers a lot later than nvidia, but its the same thing. check which version 3d turbo is compatible with, any drivers of that version will work, the program sucks though its jus a prettier version of the overclocker. use riva tuner and force the drivers to allow overclocking. I had a similar problem with 3d turbo when i had my mx440 last yr. never again going to nvidia lol.
btw check MSI's site itll tell you wut version drivers work with 3d turbo, anything newer is unsupported

Yes well I've given up on 3D Turbo even tho it did look like it was a pretty good little O/C feature. Tried all drivers incl. MSI site ones by the way.
Unlocked the 'Coolbits' overclocker in the Nvidia reg which looks the most promising (although no temp or power monitors)....will try with this instead. Thnks

use nvhard page and riva tuner available @ www.guru3d.com
too bad most of the tweaks are for older nvidia drivers, nvidia cards arent used as common

Why not use the new 56.63 drivers released my MSI just recently (after nvidias 56.64's). I am useing them on my MSI 5900XT and im useing the D.O.T overclocking feature MSI claims is their secret weapon and it works alright, the MSI built in overclocking util works great for me though, just use their drivers for your card. They run just as fast the the 56.64's, they seem to play far cry a bit smoother without the 1.1 patch aswell.

Recently fired up the MSI 3D turbo program and all seems fine to me. Im no comp. genius but heres what I have to say. All aspects work fine for me except the fan speed and temp do not display anything. My card is the MSI FX5200-TD128LF series running on a Gigabyte GA-81PE1000 series mobo(P4Titan). A P4-3.0HT Processor and a gig of PC3200 DDR mem..
By default the video card runs only at 250Mhz core clock and 400Mhz Mem clock.
Ive bumped it up to 350 Mhz core and 496Mhz Mem clock without a prob..
BUT. . . (dont know if it matters) I also have a PCI slotted adjustable speed dual fan running directly underneath jamming air into the card as it came only sinked without a fan.
Havnt had a lockup yet.
In the 3D turbo setup my information is as follows....
Model Name:MSI-Starforce Geforce FX5200
Bios Version: 4.34.20.87.00
Manufacturer: Nvidia
Memory: 128 meg..
RamType: DDR SDRAM
Driver Name: nv4_disp
Driver Version: 6.14.10.7772
Minivddname: none
Minivddversion: none
VendorID: 10deh
DeviceID: 0322h
SubvendorID: 1462h
SubSysID: 9980h
Classcode: 3.0.0
Reversion: alh
AGP Version: 3.0
AGP Aperture: 8x AGP
Sideband Status: AGP Sideband Enabled
So far so good. B)
In essence running as a GF6200. And please note Goliath , I'm not using an MSI mobo.
Which could be why I dont display fan speed and temp..
