hi i have a geforce 4 ti4200 8x agp and i get weird artifacts in my games now i get like flickering on the screen in quake but some games dont do it is my card overheating
Yes, that would be a heat issue. Try to clock the memory/coredown at 4 mhz intervals until the artifacting stops. It could be a memory module about to go, but I believe downclocking should stop it.
hi if i clock down my card to the absolute lowest it still does the same thing i also had the voltage on the card running at 1.7 volts for about a day i want a ati radeon what is better 9200 or fx5200
The fx 5200 offers nothing over what the card you have now is capable of. I would say go with a Radeon. Try to go for more midrange such as a 9500 or 9600 XT. Some 9500's can be modded into 9700 Pro's.
