gf4 mx440 - detonator drivers problem

I have a geforce 4 mx440 and i'm having problems using any detonator drivers newer than the 41.xx version (even omega drivers). The problem is that with that drivers the system doesn't seems to detect my card or somehting like that because the dxdiag direct3d test fails and obviouslly i can't run any games that use Direct3d.

I have no luck finding the answer in other topics so i hope you can help me..

some of my specs:
motherboard pc chips 810 with lastest bios
duron 950
geforce 4 mx440 (agp x4)
win98se
directx 9

Have you tried 52.16 yet. The gf4 mx440 works best with those drivers. Also wait for directx 9.1 comes out. Also try reinstaling directx 9.
