Gf 4 Mx 400...
Is there a driver for the GeForce4 fx 440 64mb card, running with Windows 98? If so, I'd appreciate the link or name...!!

MX 400
I'm not sure how to find it...I have the most recent nvidia driver (45.23)...does that mean I download the Win98 nvidia labelled 145.23? Sorry, just not sure how to determine right driver!

I was under the impression the omega drivers are better than the regular nvidia drivers you get at the nvidia site. It just confused me because the omega driver has a '1' in front of the driver #. The nvidia driver is 14.23....the omega driver is 14523, so I wasn't sure if this was the right one.

i have a GeForce4 440 64mb in my second rig (256mb 266mhzDDR+P4 2.0Ghz) and it gets the job done!!!
what i do is have between high and medium detail (depends on game) but use 16 bit colour and textures and 1024x768 rez.(800x600 if u wanna milk more frames)
most of todays gamez should run pretty well.....playable,not lush, but playable
hope that helps you get the most out of a low end card!!

i do agree with that just to add onto my post i am not implying it is a bad card.just don't expect outstanding performance in very high rez/details in most games from perhaps the last 2 years on-wards.

I have the 440 in my son's computer (he plays alot of games as I do), and I was just trying to get the most out of the card for him. The 440 actually does do a pretty decent job for him...I was hoping the omega driver would help him out a bit more. I have a Geforce fx 5200 128MB in my computer, and the omega driver for it helped me out immensely. I was hoping the omega would give him the same boost it gave me. I appreciate you guys helping me out...now that I have the correct driver for him I can get it installed in his computer. Thx guys!
