Anyone use the PNY line of FX cards?
I am curious whether or not PNY owners of the 5900 FX have the famous scroll wheel ticking.
It is so subtle, it is almost trivial. Stranger still, somehow, I kinda like it!

I have & use a PNY Geforce4 Ti4200 w/AGP 8X (retail). It's the one that came with a huge heatsink & fan. It even came with heatsinks on the memory, too. I don't have any clicking. Then again, I don't use the ASUS A7N8X standard onboard sound, but a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card.

I am sorry. I meant clicking associated with the FX series (for example, 5900 FX).

Wow, I thought more people knew of it. Its when you enable smooth scrolling in IE you get a sound from your GF FX card that sounds like a hard driver clicking.

I didnt know GF Fx's were sound cards
try truning on spread spectruim in the bios..... for your fsb and for you agp bus...
also you should never ever use you first pci slot for a soundcard or a lan card as it will couse magor issues! PCI slot 1 and agp share resources (Irq's)

No, the sound acctually comes from the GF FX. Its not from interference on the sound card. I have experianced it myself.

No clicking coming from my way. I also have an fx 5200 pci if that makes any difference. Yes, I do have it in the first PCI slot because I don't have an AGP slot.
