what 5600 drivers?

does anyone know what drivers are the best for my Gainward GeForceFX 5600 256mb (non gold)

i get under 10000 3dmark2k1se points (have never cracked 10000) any help would be great!

oh and please dont tell me to buy a Raedon 9800 pro!!!

ill get one if my old dear gets her inheritance and only IF!!!!

i cannot afford a new vid car atm (i have 5 kids to feed!)

again,any help would be great.

? make sure you have the latest bios for your mobo and video card
and chipiset drivers...

I heard that you shouldn't use dets 50+ because Nvidia messed around with DX 9 and modified it to run differently on their cards, not sure if they changed it yet.

i tried a 5600 np 256 and were lucky to get above 9k

i know where to get video card drivers (obviously) but i wouldnt have the foggiest about vid card bios upgrades.......where would i go for that???

also, johny bravo...i noticed your system is quiet similar to mine....what is the diff in your FPS/benching now that you have a 9600??? is it a great difference??

personally benchmarks i don't use often i see it as what i see on screen and am happy with what i am seeing is all that bothers me.

but i did try 3dmark 2k1 for a try out of this rig in my sig which i only updated to last tuesday.

my previous were a cheapo mobo with 1024mb 266ddr & a p4 2.5 400 fsb were lucky to get above 9k.thats with this 9600pro @ 4x max. speed @400/300(ddr)

this new rig all be 100mhz slower p42.4ghz but would make up for it being 800fsb with 1024mb pc3200/400mhz same graphics card but this time @ 8x enabled broke 12k.

to me i am reasonably pleased with 3k-4k(average) increase.with no o/c anywhere on the system.

what do you have now... if thier nameing system is anything like gigabytesi had to make a guess G33100ALQ0B7
