Asus FX5600 Ultra/ Flight sim 2002

Help please!

I replaced my old 3dfx voodoo 3000 card with an fx5600 128mb ultra 'cos I wanted to improve the graphics and have dual monitor system for FS2002. Under the old vga card I was getting 50-65 fps but with the new go-faster card I get about 15-22 fps. Some improvement! And I can't seem to get dual monitor to work properly. I have tried both the supplied drivers and the latest from Asus (44.71a IIRC). Is it me? what am I doing wrong? surely the newer card should be BETTER not worse! All game settings are as they were before the "upgrade".

In case it helps..... system is GB 7VTXE mb (4x agp), xp2100 , 256MB, win2k pro + latest patches (SP4?) vga on 1024x768x16 bit

Did you do a clean install of Windows when you installed the new card? 3DFX drivers are a real pain to clean out and do not work well with nVidias. I'll look for the guide but its definitely not for beginners

fresh install would be a best choice.
