I just thought it was a bit overdue for this thread now with the GTX 285 and 295 cards out on the market for a while...

So who has one of these next gen graphics monsters in their system? Share your thoughts if you have one, two or even three in your system. Are you happy? disappointed? or simply unimpressed?

Yup. The Mirror's Edge review made me grab the 9400GT as well. It was cheap as dirt anyways.

Can't say I am all that impressed with the card. I don't think I've done 20 minutes of gaming before it hard locks the whole system.

I have (2) XFX Black Edition GTX 285's and plan on purchasing another in the near future. They run cooler than my XFX XXX Edition GTX 260's did. I'm very happy with the performance.

Have a GTX285 paired up with my Phenom II 940 @ 3.5ghz. Together they make one hell of a team.

Don't need much more horsepower than that, at least not right now...

I also recently purchased a GTX295 (XFX model) and it runs very nicely. I will definitely be purchasing another when they're cheaper, for SLi. However I am encountering problems, namely with the card causing blue screens. The Vista problem reports states that it's caused by the Nvidia drivers. I went from the latest set (182.50) to the set I have now (182.08) but the problem still occurs. So I will attempt the 181.22 drivers and see if they help. I've only had this problem when playing Armed Assault. It hasn't happened with my other games, although I play Armed Assault much more. I'll need to reinstall my games (as I just re-formatted my machine) and see if the problem manifests in those games.

i have a bfg GTX 285. love it. only bsod'd once on me. reinstalled drivers and works flawlessly now. need new cpu now.(major bottleneck)

Well, As the GTX-275 was released recently, and there isn't a sticky for that one, I thought I may as well post here.

Thanks to a certain tech site, oh wait, this tech site, I have received a nice new Asus GTX 275, and it is brilliant!

Well, off to play with my new card a bit more, so far so good

I picked up a BFG 285 OC 2GB version tonight and so far so good. Only game I tried was GTAIV all settings maxed but my cpu can't really handle that much still it was playable. DH's review of the Sparkle 285 convinced me to go for this one.

The 285 is replacing my SLI 260's which I am getting rid of due to SLI being broken on my motherboard; it's a painful downgrade but it'll hold me out until the next gen cards hit in the Fall. I'm counting on the fact that I can get some decent resell value out of this card when that time comes.

I must say I was PISSED when I was plugging my monitor and TV back into the card and realized this one doesn't even come with S-video out. I never thought to check that out beforehand. I guess I'll have to pick up a VGA to S-video adapter if such a thing exists and use the DVI-VGA doggle.

Been trying to sell the pair for weeks and but not much luck. Decided to part them out and first buyer fell through cause his PC fried lol. I kinda regret spending $500 on the GTX 285 because then I saw a used 750iFTW for 100 and that would have fixed my SLI problems. Oh well. This card is pretty nice though and it runs cool in all my games. I should have held out for the ATI cards this month but I got impatient.
