Welcome to DH!

What are some things that you have tried to do? Have you tried another set of component cables? What about settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel? Is this for a secondary display or for a primary display?

More info would be helpful

Well if it stopped working, then there might be an issue with the component converter itself. is there any possible way for you to try another component converter that came with the card? or do you only have the one converter cable that came with the card?

What about different component cables?

i don't believe it would be the "Force Television Detection" option within windows because you are not even getting a display on your TV during the boot sequence. this is something that is supposed to happen regardless if you have this option disabled in windows as you are not even in windows at this point in time.

I have another component covnvert cable but still there is no display. Could it be that the component output from the graphic card is damaged? even if the IDIV or VGA outputs r working?

Re: 8800gtx problem

hey, sorry about not replying back here!

so, if i understand this right, you have display from both DVI ports even when using the DVI to VGA adapters but not from the component cable adapter?

did you even check the options i listed for you in my previous post about the "force television detection" settings? you didn't answer that part of my question.

Re: 8800gtx problem

hmm....it does sound like the component video has failed on you then. what about just a standard s-video cable? it's only going to be analog and a max resolution of 1024x768, but that's just to see if the whole port itself has failed on you.

If so, then i'd say it's time to RMA that card of yours.

Re: 8800gtx problem

did the "force TV dection" option work for you with the s-video though? that i know for sure needs to be enabled in order for it to work like that.

but if nothing still, then i say RMA.

Re: 8800gtx problem

you know how to set up an RMA with them right?

if not, be sure to create an account, and afterwards register the video card. then you can submit the RMA request.
