Do yourself a favour and get a new laptop or desktop.
If you can't or won't, then you are stuck with old games. As for drivers, the best solution would be to try the official site of the maker of the laptop.

I have to agree here the tech and demand of games in the past 3-4 years has just exploded leaving any early '00 systems in the dust

. The only thing I can suggest to you is start saving for a new system. As you most likely know. there is a little room to upgrade components in your laptop but that is limited to RAM CPU and HDD generally.
My current laptop (sig) has a 7200Go in it and it doesn't do AWESOME but it gets me by only for World of Warcraft. Every other game that I play like Crysis etc I have to play on my PC which sometimes can barely take it
