Now the GTX280 and 260 have been out for some time now. Share your thoughts if you have one, two or three of those cards. Happy? Disappointed? Discuss !

all i can say, is not yet. the 260 is very tempting for my next build though. but i said the same thing about the 8800GTX . if anything, one of my two sisters will probably end up with one of these cards before i do

This may be interesting to those that bought one from EVGA at the full MSRP : EVGA | The EVGA Bucks Reimbursement Program!

Very happy owner. My load temp is 81c which is 1 degree higher than the 4850's idle temp I had while my Step Up was processed.

Re: The offical "I got a GTX280/260"" thread
I was going to wait until December for the 55nm refresh of 216 Geforce 260GTX but Ncix (Canadian side) had a sale on the EVGA 260 GTX Superclocked (192 SP) for $249! I couldn't resist and ordered one immediately. It was limited supplies but I think I got one. Hopefully by next week I'll be the proud owner of a 260 GTX
That's the lowest price I've seen an EVGA 260 and with the Canadian dollar plummeting no better time to get a deal like that. I might even "Step Up" to the 280 or 260GX2 depending on what's released in the next 90 days.

Re: The offical "I got a GTX280/260"" thread
Finally got my EVGA 260 GTX Superclocked! Not only that, but I managed to squeeze it into my Antec Sonata case (had to remove the 120mm hard drive fan) and it actually runs on this 500watt PSU which has exactly enough 12V rail to run it. I was prepared for it to not run at all and I'd just set the card aside while I built a new system but at least now I can play games maxed out until a new rig is fully assembled
I ran a bunch of benchmarks in Crysis, Far Cry2, Vantage, Call of Juarez DX10 and World in Conflict so far it's pretty fast but I'm very much held back by this cpu and ram (maybe even the PSU if I try to overclock further).
