System Specs

Planning to upgrade and if so from what? Generally they're nice at their price range especially with all the fanless models available. But if you play a lot of new games you would do well to consider a 9600GT(512MB) for a whole other level of performance. If it can fit into the budget.

well atm i have an athlon 2500+ and a 6600GT 128mb (AGP)

im getting a p4 3ghz and a 8600GT 512mb (PCI ecpress)

a friend is swapping the cpu mobo and vid card for my thermaltake case

the reason i ask about the card is so i know if i should bother saving for a better card or whatever

no opinions? comparisons anything?
ive been "out of the loop" so to speak for some time, the last video card i bought was the 6600GT and that was only because my 9800pro died and i wanted the cheapest card i could get with similar performance. so yeah, i havent been keeping track of the video card scene since the 9800pro was supreme (some time ago)
