Where are you looking to order from?

BFGE88768UOCE - Cendirect Canada : Bfg Tech GeForce 8800 Ultra OC Graphics Card - nVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra 630MHz - 768MB GDDR3 SDRAM - PCI Express x16 - Retail - Product Details

They've got a couple in stock there.

Probably not the best way to spend your money though, they're over double the price of a G92 GTS card, and are only about 5% faster if playing at high resolutions.

Thank you Zelig. I actually found them also on Amazon.com. Most of the stores said the card is discontinued... mhhmm... And yeah, they are not cheap. I actually decided to wait for new nvidia 9 series. If they are discontinuing the 8800 ultra then they definitly must be up to something... Ahh ..I love the suspense ;-)

Yeah I read somewhere recently that all retailers had been told to sell up there 8800 ultra stock, and that no more would be rolling off the production line.
Probably to make way for the 9800 GX2 shortly to be released.

I'm quite annoyed as i've been trying to find a XFX 8800 Ultra 'xxx' to SLI with my current one for ages to no avail.

Yep I would advise an SLI mobo and 2 GTS's in SLI.

I found a few Utras left here Computer Brain - Computers, Electronics & more at low prices No XFX though

Pulling 8800s off the market to "make the space" for new 9 series is plain stupid in my opinion. I think it'd make more sense for nvidia to disocunt those a litlle rather than pulling them totally off altogether. There is a huge market out there for those cards, and porobably would be for years; not everyone is going to jump in and spend $$$$ on new 9 series, so why discontinue something that sells well??

I think its more a case of free up some resources in prodution to make room for the new 9800 gx2 etc etc.
The Ultra is the obviuos choice to get pulled as its never been hugley popular cos of its priceerformance ratio. It did come with a huge price premium.

Did I ever regret getting mine thou ?................ hell no. It came oc'd out of the box making it around 10% faster than stock ultra and has given me some great high res gaming with insane levels of AA applied.

If I were you i'd just hold on a few more weeks of you can, wait and see what the 9800 gx2 does in terms of priceerformance.
Be a bit wary of going the whole SLI route unless you've truely researched it and know the games you play are compatible and offer performance benefits.
