Have you tried the laptop manufactures website?

Also, keep an eye on the Omega Drivers, I believe the next release will include mobile support.

Hi,

Firstly thank you for this nice forum. I believe I will try to help many other people in future.

I used omega drivers for my previous laptop MSI 510C ( Mobility Radeon 9700). The result was stunning, the graphics performance was more than %50.

Recently, 1 week ago, I bought an LG R500. It has NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS ( 256 MB or 512MB? I am still not sure!!! ).

Unfortunately, this new performance mania comes with Vista, and after installing WinXP, I saw that latest driver was 6.14.11.5686 ( Date: 17.12.2007 )

Neighter Omega drivers, nor official drivers can be installed. The only way is to download the official graphics drivers from LG update service. However, these are really terrible.

Performance is very very weak. Believe me, the graphics performance is very similar to my old ATI mobility radeon 9700( 64MB)

My question is, can you recommend a way to optimise current driver?

Of course I will wait for laptop support in omega drivers but it seems it will take a little longer time.

Thank you for all your helps.

Regards
