7900 GS no DVI out

Ok so i have a XFX 7900 GS with a Viewsonic 2025 20" widescreen monitor. The problem i have with any driver past the 100 series of forcware drivers is that there is no video out on the DVI cable. If i connect a VGA cable instead i get video. I have tried reinstalling vista, new drivers, old drivers but nothing past 100 works.

I have even gone online and found people resetting the monitor to fix the issue but it still does not work

Any ideas?
