I played gothic 3 half year ago. in mean time i have formated my computer and buyd 1gb of free memory. Now when i have more free memory i desided to play it again because the game shud be running faster now, but when i start game screen goes black and "out of range 34,5khz/87hz" message is shown. I have nivida 550 or 5500. I`v tried a lot but non work. It makes me mad because 6 month`s ago game work`d, little slow but still.
Sorry if my language is bad!
Thanks!!!

That means the refreshrate of 87Hz is to high for your monitor, try forcing a lower refreshrate via the nvidia CP. 60Hz should work in any case, but I recommend you do some googling and check what refreshrates your monitor supports and then set an appropriate one via the "Override refreshrates" tab in your nvidia CP for the specific resolution you try to run the game at.

Anyway, you should first check if you have the right driver installed for your monitor by rightclicking on your desktop and selecting Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor, especially if you have a LCD. If you are running a CRT selecting "Standard monitor" or "Plug and Play monitor" is fine, as long as you know what you're doing....

Setting the refreshrate through windows will most likely not work, have you tried my suggestion and used the "Refresh Rate Overrides" Tab in the nvidia control panel? Maybe you have to switch back to to the old CP for the tab to show up in the CP. Search the web on how to do this. It should work.
