Artifact problems with my GeForce 7900GT

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with my problem.

I play World of Warcraft, in where I've gotten several artifact problems recently. Graphic glitches, texture glitches and so on.

I own a GeForce 7900GT and I run the latest drivers (93.71) from nVidia. When I play my graphics card is around 50-55 degrees hot, which really shouldn't be that bad.

I run the game with Vertical Sync turned on, in 1600x1200 @ 75 Hz (same as my desktop) and with 4x Multi-sampling. All pixel shader effects turned on.

I just tried to put a fan in front of my computer with the cabinet side off. Hoping it'll help.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to suggest them. The card itself is only a year old.

Have you tried a different driver set or anything?
And also, a possibility could be that you happened to get one of those fubared 7900GT's that shipped for a very short time, in which case you can get it replaced from your manufacturer.

Welcome to DH madstq!

and like fobis said, you may have picked yourself up a fubared 7900GT. Who's the manufacturer of the card?

Also, for a bit of trouble shooting...try the card in another machine, or another card in your machine. if in another machine, your card does the same thing, then your card is fubared. if in your machine, another card works flawlessly, then your card is fubared. And a follow up question; how many watts does your PSU put out, and how many amps does it put out on the 12v rail(s)? That's also an important factor to know.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't had a chance to try it in another machine, because I wouldn't know who's machine to try it on ;P

I'll try to find out the power supply's output a little later.
