Sad GeForce 7100 Driver Problem

hey, does anyone else have this card? ive had it for about a month now, and its been hell. The first time i installed the drivers, it crashed windows, then i re installed windows and tried using the DH Zer0Pointdrivers and they worked fine. However it often crashed in games(not that bothers me, i rarely play any games).

I got a new HDD yesterday so i had to reinstall windows again, and ive yet to get the drivers to install. Ive tried the latest forceware drivers, the version that came on the driver CD, and the DH Zer0Point drivers, and will with the same result. When it setup installs the drivers, the screen goes black, with a blinking _ in the top left of the screen. I can normally fix this by going into safe mode and using system restore.

Does anyone have a clue why this happening? I have an Abit AW9D-MAX if that helps. having all these problems has made me incredibly glad that I chose a cross-fire board over a SLI one

For how long does it do that blinking thing? That's supposed to happen normally, but only for a minute or two at most.
And have you updated all of your motherboard drivers (AGP or PCI-e, etc)?
