resolution problem with 8800GTS

Hi, guys when i play need for speed most wanted and some other games ,i try to set the resolution ,and it only come out like 800X600,1024x768,no more higher option !!!! i have wide screen 26 " lcd tv,i need like 1360X768. so what can i do , and i play dark masia i can set it to that resolution perfectly fine. ty for reading.

You have to understand that many older games do not support widescreen resolutions. The NFS game your trying to play might not allow widescreen resolutions and thus gives you the max resolution possible: 1024x768 (since your max vertical pixel count is 768). Try out www.widescreengamingforums.com and see if they have a method for that particular NFS to work in widescreen.

System Specs

Nvidia Drivers.... Same issue here with games....

Hopefully soon a set of drivers will come out that are worthy of being called "Vista ready" ..For at this point Nvidia has no right to say they are.
