GF 7950 GX2 QUAD SLi NV_4.disp.dll infinite loop error

Hi there

Someone please help me.

I have bought a Dell XPS710 Quad Core machine wich runs fast, smooth and flawless.
However, the Quad-SLi configuration of the 2 7950GX2 cards causes the NV_4.disp.dll driver to an infinite loop and resets the machine.

I have tried all drivers, dell's, nvidias newest and modified drivers from all over - nothings helps - or lasts more than a few days - then its the same again.

I am running on a XP pro platform.

However - i am running the same card just in a single configuration on another PC just under XP home - no problems- but is it really the XP version thats causing it ?

The system will not let me install XP Home on the XPS - i wonder why - but anyone help me please !

Danny

I think that XP home won't install on your XPS because it won't support 4 CPU's. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that might be it.
As for your driver issue... Dell's drivers or drivers specifically for Quad-SLI would be your best bet, but since that's not working out for you, I don't know what to tell you. I'd say call Dell and see what they have to say about this (and about selling buggy-as-hell products).

You confused me. Why don't you run on your system but with only one card to see if the problem remains instead of trying one card on ANOTHER pc?
