NVIDIA 7950 GX2 driver v93.81 - GTR2 games Freeze

I've tried playing GTR2 with my Nvidia 7950GTX loaded with v 93.81 drivers.
The game crashed at start up and just would not play.
The only way I could work around this was to install the older v 93.71 drivers.
This cured the problem.
Anybody else run into this with v 93.81?

i cant even use 93.71 i have to fall back on the resource cd (89.17) when i try using 93.71 i only run off one cpu i believe i dont know what is going on i havent updated the bios cause i dont know how im not that good with computers ne help on the topic also

That might be a game-specific problem.. or it could be that something went sour when you installed the 93.81 set.
Try uninstalling all of your nVidia video drivers, restart into safe mode and use DriverCleaner (Pro, PE, or .NET)* to clean out your old driver junk, and then install whatever set you want in normal mode. Maybe this will fix your problem.
*Pro is free, but support for it is discontinued, so you'll have to do some searching for a download link.
