nVidia Gainward BLISS 7800GS+ AGP game problem.
Hi everyone, im not sure this is the right place to post but im having problem with my, Medal of Honour Allied Assault : Spearhead, game. I bought a new graphics card a couple of days back and installed it and uninstalled my old drivers and installed the new ones and my games like CoD2, BF2 and BF2142 are working fine but my MOHAAS isent. Whenever i try and load the game it goes to a black screen then returns me to desktop. Ive tried the 91.8 beta driver (i think it was that version) but that dident help. On my ATI ALL-IN-WONDER AGP x800 series card, MOHAAS worked fine but on this one it doesent, i also have the NO CD crack and i tried it with that but it just gives me an error when i start the game using that so its nothing to do with the CD (EA support said it was cause my CD was dirty? lol)... If anyone can help or if you could like further information then please do reply, thanks for your time.

It's a known issue when switching between ATI and nVidia cards. You need to clean install Windows.

No, not really. You need an install CD. And when you pick the partition to install on, pick the option to format that partition. Of course, you loose everything on it in the process.

if you bought the system from a store with windows pre-installed,then you should have a system restore disk(may be called something different) that should contain the windows files for you're pc.
Or maybe on the very first boot up you may of been asked to burn the files to a cd,this creates a system disk.
If nothing above has been provided/or for, then contact you're pc support for assistance.
If that don't help you may need to buy a windows disk.

As for what you're uncle says, just how windows OS files permanently damage a pc
I've done a countless number of formats and installs on my pc over the years than most people can count, and i am yet to have a pc than has failed because of that reason.

If you don't know how or what a windows install does then im sorry to see why you have a problem in making an open critical post to any one who replies.
And nobody (im certainly not) is dissing (childish comment if you as k me) you're uncle but you are obviously listening to a member of you're family (with respect) who has simply made a comment which i bet he can not back it up.
'yep you don't care how many formats i have done but this does not kill a system.' a windows re-install can not & does not kill a pc.More often than not this help keep a pc clean of bugs/Spyware problems. And mostly keeps driver installs fresh and at optimum performance when things go well.
I won't be replying again as you're attidude is quite childish and very well below Par.

Ok, well i admit that was a childish reply. You are a very gifted computer fixer and i totally agree with you %100. Maybe i exadurated when i said it would kill your PC or whatever i said. It might mess it up (for me cause i dont know what im doing) but anyway it doesent matter now and im glad it works ok for you. and im sorry
