Decent PCIE Card

Hi
i need a decent PCIE card to replace my old outdated 128mb 9800pro. I have 2gb ram and e6300, i mainly do 3d work so i have to go with nvidia. ATI's Direct3D support for 3dsmax is terrible and after using a mate of mines comp with an nvidia 5950, its aload better.

Neway, for upto about £180, im looking for a decent card.

So far the
XFX 7900GS 480M - £150
Gainward 7900GS 512mb - £160
Gainward 7950GT 256mb - £175
eVGA GeForce 7900GS KO - £160
MSI 7900GTO 512mb - £182

I have an enermax 480w psu, and i only run 2 hdd and a dvdburner

Id like to play Fear, Dark Messiah, HL2, Black and White 2, Battlefield 2142, Wow at 1280x1024 with 4xAA and 8xAF preferable.
What you reccomend?
thnx

X1900XT 256MB is 235$ and beats all those cards and matches up with the 7900GTO. Personally i would get the 7900GTO.

i would recomend against this. purchasing two of these cards would probably be more expensive than getting two 7600GTs would start around $230 (price of 2 7600GTs) and a single 7900GT is $190 (after rebate). Not only that, the 7900GT has a 256bit memory interface, whereas the 7600GT has a 128bit memory interface. that alone is a significant performance increase all by itself.

I gotta agree. For the money the nVidia 7950GT is a sweet card. Very surprised at the price of the card considering the performance that it puts out. I've got one at my store right now, and I've been torturing the hell out of it. So far so good, and it is pretty much in line with the review DH did comparing it with the X1900XT and X1900GT (being right in between the 2 cards).
