X1600pro to a 7900GT?
I was just looking for a few opinions on making a move from my X1600pro 512 to a 7900GT. With the prices on the 7900GT comming down significantly, I thought it might be a good time to pick one up. The question is, will I notice a significant improvement? I mostly play online games. The flavor of the month is City of Heros/Villans. There are a few known issues between ATI cards and CoH, so i was thinking of switching to Nvidia for that very reason. What do you guys think?

I dont know what city of heros/villans is, but if it is a modern game with modern graphics, the 7900gt will be a huge difference from a x1600pro.

x1600 Pro is more a competition for GF6600GT (512MB of VRAM makes little difference). So getting a 7900GT will be a huge step forward.

7900 can kick any x16's arse
get the 7900 if you can. it can blow the x1600 out of the water several times over (well maybe just 2 times over).
