Why do you need to update the "firmware" (it would be the video BIOS in this case) for your card?
You shouldn't ever have to do that with your particular card...

Did the MSI live update backup your old BIOS at all or does it have some sort of rollback feature?

Sorry, but I couldn't find a BIOS for that card using Google.
Looks like your only option may be either calling MSI and asking them to send you an old BIOS version, or getting someone else to dump their working BIOS for you.
Sorry.

Try this site http://www.whitebunny.net
There are a few 64mb 4200 bios files listed, which one is the best i don't know but i hope they help.
The only other site that could help is http://www.mvktech.net/. Maybe a post in their forums could help.

While i'm thinking about bios flashing, did you try re-installing the drivers after the msi live update ?
Try that first because another bios flash might create even more problems !
If you want to carry on with the bios flash then google nvflash, download, and follow the instructions.
Please be careful and only flash if you have exhausted all the other options. If the bios flash goes wrong then you can have a dead video card on your hands. It's happened more than once to me and the cards were never the same again. Use at your own risk.
Other than that have fun dude !!

Could point to a bad bios file or incorrect file.
Another option would be to d/l and try one of the other bios files until one match's with you card.
Try and find a bios that is compatible with the memory chips on your card, ie samsung or hynix, look at the card and identify the memory chips on it and also their speed rating. Also is the card agp x4 or x8. All this can help in identifing the correct bios.
Considering the age of the card you could be up against it in trying to find the correct bios file.
