I would probably say yes. That is a nice card, but your proc is pretty poor. I would go for a lesser card and see what you can get in the line of processors. The only thing that might be nice is having the extra memory on the card, but if the cost of the card is much greater, it might out weight the benefit.

Celeron Processors aren't all that bad, its a good thing for me cause I had rendering problems with my old Pentium chips. He can buy the card now and upgrade later to a better mobo/chip combo.And When will AMD produce DDR2 boards?MMMMM

Anyway I suppose video editing is a lot different from gaming, frame and refresh rates aren't as important, you need pure cpu grunt to keep rendering times down.
So Go On Buy The Good Card

I think I'll buy it - Figure that I can allways upgrade to fit the card if it doesn't work.
Do I have to change the mobo to get a better processor?
