geforce4 440 vs Quadro4 700

Have Dell Inspiron 8200 with geforce4 440. Can't play the newest and latest games (Rise Of Nations: Rise of Legends, Rise & Fall: CIvilizations at war, Battle for Middle Earth 2, etc).

I've read that this card is not being supported--would it be worth spending the $300+/- for the Quadro4 700????

System Specs

The Quadro range are expensive "professional" cards, normally with OpenGL tweaks for professional graphics applications, though they generally share the same core as the gaming cards. There are bound to be more cost-effective alternatives.

The Inspiron 8200 appears to be a laptop with a mobile Radeon 9000, are you sure that's the right model?

Yes I'm sure the video card is the Geforce4 440 go. So I guess the Quadro4 gogl would help me in this situation??

There's really no point in getting a Quadro since it's not optimized for gaming... If you want to play games, it'll just make things worse.

So this really is a laptop with upgradable graphics - in which case, you are sorely limited by the options available, as this is not a current system.

It appears that the Quadro4 700 Go is the "workstation" version of the GF4 4200 go, the mobile version of a Geforce4 Ti4200 ... a DirectX8.1 generation card that on a desktop, power users would now be upgrading from, not to -switch to a desktop for gaming, unless you have no alternative, as that card could well be beat by todays "budget" desktop cards, and certainly by the next level up from the bottom.
