Northgate Media Center PC

Continuing to forge into breakthrough technologies, Northgate Innovations, Inc. (OTCBB:NGTE), in collaborating with AMD, and Microsoft, recently announced the Northgate Media Center PC, featuring the AMD Athlon™ XP processor.

Based on Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, the new Northgate Media Center PC brings together numerous digital media experiences in one complete system, bringing the vision of the PC being at the center of all things in the home, one step closer. Functions include TV viewing, television recording, digital music, digital photography, digital video and DVD playing. In addition, the system will come with a multi function printer and Dolby™ 5.1 sound.

Our new Media Center PC really begins to bridge that gap," said Bob Anderson, Vice President of Business Development at Northgate. Anderson continued, "this is the perfect system for media enthusiasts at a reasonable price. The Northgate Media Center PC combines the full functionality of a PC with numerous media applications, such as television with full recording capabilities, as well as stereo and digital media. These key functions can be managed by a remote control unit so customers can use the Media Center PC from up to 26 feet away. When combined with a 17- inch CRT display, the Northgate Media Center PC starts at just $1,548. This configuration includes the AMD Athlon XP processor 2100+ to 2600+, 512MB SDRAM, separate CDRW and DVD drives, remote and receiver, TV tuner, 64 MB Graphics, 80GB HDD, 6 in 1 card reader, 5.1 speakers and subwoofer, and much more. The system is also available with a 15" or 17" LCD display.
